Just six months after making its mark with the Luxsin X9, the young brand Luxsin is already back at the drawing board with a new model christened the X8. A brisk pace, certainly, but one fully embraced—perfectly illustrating the philosophy of this ambitious subsidiary born from the same ecosystem as Eversolo and Zidoo: move fast, but above all, move right.
Luxsin: The Audiophile Branch of an Already Well-Known Group
Behind Luxsin lie teams from Zidoo, a recognized specialist in high-end media players, and Eversolo, which has established itself in just a few years as a credible reference in Hi-Fi audio streaming.
With Luxsin, the group shifts focus: here, no all-purpose network player, but a resolutely audiophile approach centered on DACs and headphone amplification, conceived for the long term, with a strong software and evolutionary component.
The X9, the brand's first product, laid the groundwork: a reference DAC/headphone amp, highly accomplished, with modern ergonomics and already brimming with fresh ideas.
The X8 doesn't directly replace it but rather extends its vision, with an even more pronounced orientation toward intelligent digital processing and personalized listening.
From X9 to X8: Continuity and Inflection

Contrary to what its number might suggest, the X8 isn't a "stripped-down X9." It's a different model in intention. Where the X9 favored a very purist approach, the X8 pushes DSP integration, automation, and user assistance much further.
On the hardware front, Luxsin maintains a highly ambitious architecture but evolves certain technical choices to optimize the synergy between computing power, software flexibility, and sonic reproduction.
DAC Architecture: 8 CS43198 Chips in Parallel

The Luxsin X8 adopts a truly spectacular configuration: eight Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs mounted in genuine dual-mono, with four chips per channel.
A parallel architecture rarely encountered at this price point, with a clear objective:
drastic noise reduction
improved signal-to-noise ratio
better resolution of micro-details
Each channel has its own independent power supply and signal path, limiting crosstalk and stabilizing the stereo image. Luxsin even pushes refinement to the point of synchronizing the entire assembly via a dedicated high-speed clock distribution circuit, ensuring perfectly coherent operation of all eight converters.
Individual Shielding and Digital Audio Core
Another detail revealing the seriousness of the approach: each DAC is physically shielded. Dual objective: isolation from digital interference and better thermal stability over time.
But the X8's real innovation is its Digital Audio Core, a proprietary processing module based on a dual-core HiFi-5 DSP architecture coupled with an ARM processor, clocked at over 500 MHz. This power reserve opens the door to complex real-time processing, but also to future developments, including in the realm of AI-assisted audio.
Intelligent PEQ and HP-EQ: Sound Tailored to You

Luxsin strikes hard with what it announces as a world first: an AI-assisted parametric equalizer. Via simple text or voice command, users can adjust the overall sonic signature or correct a specific point, without diving into technical menus.
Added to this is the HP-EQ system, already initiated on the X9 but significantly enriched here. It enables hardware-based headphone calibration, drawing on a database of over 2,500 models, with automatic alignment to the Harman curve or other predefined targets.
Result: one headphone, multiple sonic signatures, storable and instantly recallable.
Complete DSP and Long-Duration Listening
The X8 integrates a particularly coherent DSP arsenal:
Crossfeed for headphone listening closer to speakers
Stereo width adjustment
Global tonal adjustment
Intelligent Loudness function, ideal for low-level listening
Tools designed not to "tamper with" the sound, but to adapt it intelligently to the user and context.
Headphone Amplification: Controlled Power
On the amplification side, Luxsin revisits its approach with an even more generous output: ≥4,800 mV per channel, thanks to a combination of OPA1612 op-amps and TPA6120A2 drivers. The X8 can thus effortlessly drive the most demanding headphones on the market, while maintaining extremely low distortion and fast transients.
The automatic impedance detection system, now active on all outputs (XLR, 4.4mm, and 6.35mm), automatically adjusts gain without ever polluting the audio signal, thanks to a circuit totally isolated from the sound path.
Linear Power Supply and Modern Ergonomics

Luxsin remains faithful to a separate linear power supply, with distinct rails for digital and analog, and even adjustable analog voltage (12V/15V). A serious approach, rarely seen on such compact devices.
Everything is housed in a CNC-machined aluminum chassis, equipped with a 4-inch color touchscreen, tilted at 15° for optimal user comfort. Settings are memorized by output, making the X8 particularly pleasant for daily use.
In Summary
With the X8, Luxsin doesn't merely capitalize on the X9's success. The brand refines its vision and offers a more intelligent, more customizable device, without ever sacrificing audiophile rigor. A resolutely modern DAC/headphone amp, designed as much for purists as for enthusiasts curious to explore a new relationship with sound.
A product to watch very closely… and above all, to listen to. 🎧
